TAI Vase
Made by WASP, 2019
Material Black Clay, Linseed Oil
Inspired by the Taichung City Cultural Center, Taiwan
“Neighbors should be like rooftiles, giving water
to each other.”
The Tai vase recalls the architecture of the Taichung City Cultural Center in Taiwan. The vase is 3D printed and made of black clay.
Shaping a material that the earth gave us millions of years ago with state-of-the-art technology such as 3D printing, creates a special bond between the past and the present. The vase consists of four intersecting containers that leave the common parts visible. The black color is obtained from the linseed oil finish.
